What is TFDA?

The Texas Funeral Directors Association (TFDA), founded in 1886, is one of the largest funeral service organizations in the United States. It is currently governed by a 21-member Board of Directors and an Executive Board. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the TFDA has 6 categories of membership and a total of 868 members. The majority of memberships are Funeral Establishments, most serving families in small towns and communities of less than 50,000 in population. Some 75 percent of member firms are family-owned, the remainder owned by regional or multi-national corporations.

What is TFDA's mission statement?

The Mission of the Texas Funeral Directors Association is to promote and improve the funeral industry and consumer relations, through education and legislative capabilities, making the membership better informed and capable of responding to the consumer at local levels.
